Residence internet, redefined
We design, equip, and operate the smart building networks for Canada’s most recognized purpose-built housing companies.

RadiusOne offers a more robust alternative to big telco’s cookie-cutter approach to MDU internet service with customized internet and WiFi solutions tailored for purpose-built housing.
Our Unified Network Backbone service is the central communications pathway for access control, thermostats, security cameras, IoT devices, and all other connected building infrastructure.
We maximize our clients’ investments with improved security, streamlined operations, and reduced expense by eliminating unnecessary, redundant equipment.

“High speed internet is a critical utility for our properties and our residents demand speed, reliability and an experience that comes close to home. As a trusted partner, we depend on the RadiusOne experts to design, install, and manage the unified network backbones of our properties.”

PRE-INSTALL
Whether it’s a smart-building upgrade to an older property or a new build, everything begins with a plan.
We’ll assess the needs of all stakeholders - the developer, the builder, and the property manager to ensure all of their various needs are met. We then incorporate the requirements of your other vendors, ensuring there is no replication of work or equipment, and that their equipment will be securely connected.
For new builds in the pre-construction phase, we’ll work with your architects and engineers to plan cable paths, power budgets, and equipment locations.
INSTALLATION
The big day! A dedicated project manager keeps everybody in the know, while a technical manager works with the install teams on site.
By this time, our clients and their 3rd party integrators already have the plan and the network details they require to access the Unified Network Backbone as it comes online.
Our engineers install the core networking equipment in the main telecom room, and risers, while installers install and test the wireless access points throughout your building’s common areas, admin offices, hallways, and resident units. At the end of each day, our teams regroup to update progress and confirm the following day’s plan and the project manager sends an update to relevant stakeholders.
POST-INSTALL
After the wireless and wired internet service is live, RadiusOne operates as the stewards of your new Unified Network Backbone and residence internet service.
That means monitoring each network element and responding to any performance issues that arise, and providing meaningful reporting data to ensure all is working as designed.
We’ll also provide technical support directly to your residents and admin staff, and measure resident satisfaction a couple times a year to understand if the service has met the residents’ expectations and what can be improved.

Who are you?
Property Managers
Property Managers have a million things to do and dealing with technical issues shouldn’t be one of them. With our proactive network monitoring and technical support service they no longer need to, allowing them to focus on the day-to-day operation of the building.
Property Managers also appreciate that we work with their 3rd party suppliers/integrators who require internet access for their own equipment, assisting with any technical questions and helping with troubleshooting. We encourage them to think of us as the IT department for their smart building.
Owners + Investors
We understand the need to contain costs while maximizing ROI by incorporating Total Cost of Ownership principles into our design philosophy.
Of course, it’s not just about TCO & ROI, but also about the experience you want for your residents. A single bad review by a disgruntled tenant can cost untold amounts in future revenues, which is why we will never compromise on our support side. Internet service is considered the most important amenity by many, and our promise is to treat your residents in a way that will always reflect positively on your investment.
We are happy to discuss CAPEX vs OPEX models and can offer financing to qualified customers.
Builders + Architects
During a new build, or large remodel, architects often ask us to provide advice and guidance related to best practices for wireless access point placement, communications cabinets, telco closets, etc.
One of the more costly mistakes we help avoid is validating that conduit on the blueprints are correctly sized because unless you like the industrial look of surface mounted conduit, after the concrete is poured, there’s no going back to install it.
